Course overview
AI in Teaching: Practices & Design explores how generative AI is changing teaching, learning and educational practice.
The course moves beyond simply learning how to use AI tools. It focuses on how educators can make informed decisions about when, why and how AI should be used in teaching, while protecting learning, academic integrity, critical thinking and human judgement.
Participants explore practical approaches to using AI for lesson and course preparation, learning activities, feedback, assessment and student support. The course also considers how educators can redesign teaching practices in response to the growing presence of AI in education.
The emphasis is on practical experimentation, critical reflection and educational design, rather than technology for its own sake.
The course can also be adapted as a bespoke programme for schools, universities, professional training organisations and education teams.
